[ Incredibly different with an unusual omega- unusual for multiple reasons. For he didn't look like one, normally didn't act like one, and his strength was able to rival an alphas on any day he was challenged. They weren't mated for a few reasons, probably. One being that despite being together, Shizuo was so 'neutral' that it was hard to get into enough of a romantic mood.

That or awkward enough that he wouldn't know how to start anything, and so never tried.

Glancing over as the cigarette is lit, Shizuo simply shrugs. ]

If there were, I'm not really someone that'd know. You'd have a better idea than me.

[He would like to mate Shizuo, but that's the dream of every Alpha. But Renji knew that he had to wait. He wasn't going to force Shizuo into heat or beg for him to mate with him. When it happened, it happened. He sighed.]

You work 'round here.

[Shaking his head.]

Hungry? I'll buy ya dinner.

[ And so, with Renji willing to be patient and Shizuo being too awkward to move forward, they were at a standstill until now. It was rare for him to even initiate the first kiss between them. Though Shizuo didn't know how often an omega did initiate anything. ]

Sure, I work around a lot of places. I've never paid attention to the social side of things.

[ Unless you counted movie premiers that his younger brother was in. ]

Dinner sounds good, sure. Are you going to need something tonight too?

[ While Renji could eat normal food, Shizuo knew that sometimes more was needed. At least it was possible to offer if Shizuo relaxed enough, so it didn't hurt the man so much. ]

Yeah, I don't either. Guess we're both at a loss.

[He grumbled, trying to think about it for a moment.]

Might be a werewolf thing? I thought somethin' might have been comin' up.

[He had been feeling a bit weird for a bit of the night, at least, but he didn't want to cause Shizuo to worry about it or anything.]

Uh, yeah, later. If you don't mind, after you eat.

[He may have been a vampire, but eating directly after he drank blood had 0 appeal for him.]

Ah... Did they get into trouble last month?

[ Shizuo, you were the trouble. Not that you knew that. All you're aware of was the news report coming in after a very rambunctious work evening when some youth came across and tried to cause a bit of ruckus. He really wasn't the easiest omega to mess with, human or no. ]

I wouldn't ask if I minded. It's fine to choose it at either of our places if you want.

[ Which is actually progress from the guy! He's not good at opening up and taking progressive steps with this whole thing, so it's more significant than it'd be from more normal people. ]

Shit, they're always gettin' into trouble! Who the hell knows now?

[He wasn't there when Shizuo caused those issues, but he's not there to follow around and stalk him.]

Uh... your place. Mine's got my roommate in a bit of a feedin' frenzy.

[And he likes Shizuo and would love for him to life, tyvm.]

Dinner for you first, tho'. Where'd you wanna go?

Huh... Okay then.

[ He didn't really remember who Renji's roommate was, or if that was normal, but it didn't really matter too much? He offered his own space, and no one lived with him, so there was no need to ask about it. ]

Anywhere's fine. Even the burger place on the corner.

[ At this point it just depends on whether any of the food he eats goes through and affects the way his blood tastes. Shizuo isn't picky, past a couple of things. Which was no beer or bitter flavors. That was it. ]

Yeah, that's fine. So long as I can get somethin' to drink.

[Renji enjoyed beer and so long as Shizuo didn't mind that he drank it nearby, then he wouldn't be bothered by his desire to not.]

Maybe somethin' for dessert too? Your blood tastes real good when it's sweeter.

[Humming lightly as they head towards it.]

Never bothered me before.

[ It's more that he didn't want to be drinking the beer himself- People had and made their own choices.

He does get quiet for a little bit at that other part- luckily it was dark enough that the faint color in his ears weren't really visible; especially with the length of his hair. ]

Ah... I can always grab a milkshake or something. Would that work?

[He just grins as he looks at Shizuo, not sure if he noticed anything different. Smiling at him.]

Yeah, that'd be perfect. Just be careful, okay? Otherwise you might smell too good.

[Teasing and moving in closer to get a bit of a sniff.]

[ Shizuo is certainly a lot more subtle than most people, and even more so when it came to omegas. He didn't really know how to be openly receptive in the first place. Which is partially why he's quietly wondered how he got into any kind of relationship, though he wasn't exactly allowed to ask that.

Scratching behind the further side's ear, while there wasn't any other kind of response, his head tilted just enough to expose his neck just a little bit more towards the teased sniff. ]

I was thinking maybe chocolate.

[God, every time he smells Shiuzo, he wants to claim him. Take him home and ruin him over and over and over again. He sniffs on him and licks it lightly.]

Yeah? Chocolate sounds good...

[ There's a forced swallow as he felt the tongue lightly go across his neck. Not knowing how to show what he wanted really didn't mean he didn't feel anything from that, or by just being around the vampire. ]

Just good, not too good?

Mmm... not as good as havin' you.

[He takes another sniff, and is about to bite before he realizes that... oh. Yeah. Whoops. Not right now. He slips back and tries not to show how red he is.]

A... Anyways. Let's get food.

Were you just-

[ He heard that sniff. You better know better by now. Except now Shizuo's red from the top of his head down to his neck at this point. The whole chocolate talk was deciding on a flavor that wouldn't have him smelling too good. Remember? ]

Y-yeah. It's right up ahead.

[notapineapple]

No. Shaddup.

[He doesn't want to talk about it! He grumbles, his face all bright and red. He moves to push open the door, completely red.]

Y'first.

Yeah...

[ Sure you weren't. Not that he's going to press on it, as he wasn't really the type to do that in calling people out. Instead he'll go in first and go to one of the terminals to place his order. He's getting actual food, and not just a milkshake, so he can handle being fed from as well. When his order's in, he steps to the side. Renji probably wanted a beer or something. ]

You're up, Renj.

Thanks.

[He's absolutely ordering two beers and then some french fries. Seeing as he's getting real eager to just chomp down and get all the blood sucked out.]

It's... so damn quiet.

[bartenderizing]

Yeah. It's... kinda weird.

[ Getting out the number plate that they'd put at their table for the food to be served to, Shizuo's looking around to realize that... there weren't even many people here. ]

Yeah, I'll do that.

[When they're seated, he starts to check the website, and... ah.]

So... tonight's apparently the start of werewolf matin' season...

[Which is a dangerous time for anyone.]

Maybe we should... go back quickly after dinner.

Ah...

[ By now, Renji would have learned that that 'ah' meant he likely wasn't even aware of there being a mating season for werewolves. Then again, he's proven to be dense to a lot of things, similar to how it's hard to believe he was an omega.

He didn't exactly have the best grasp on what was 'dangerous.' ]

Yeah, sounds like it. We can grab the rail to get to my place faster if you want.

[ Otherwise they'd be walking for a while. ]

Yeah. Let's eat quick and head off.

[At least with no one else here, the food starts to come quickly. And Renji gets his first beer immediately.]

Think we've got about an hour before shit goes bad.

Some of it'll have to be packed up to bring back with us.

[ If only for how the wait times and travel can be from one part of the city to another. It takes a bit, but it's only a little longer before the chocolate milkshake's also brought over. ]

At least there aren't gonna be any other stops to make. Ah- None that I can think of, I mean.

Pretty sure there ain't. I don't think we need anything.

[He drinks the beer some more, humming lightly as he keeps relaxing.]

Unless you wanna get some more food before we go.

I got groceries yesterday, so there's stuff at my place.

[ The only things he wouldn't have are the things Shizuo always seems to forget about until they come up. But he'd always have the basics on hand, so he's not a complete failure as an adult. Even if he's already managed to finish a good part of his milkshake right off the bat.

Which is less him in a rush and more what normally happened when he got milkshakes. ]

We just gotta get to the station in time, then.
