AU Information

AU Name: Shizuo Heiwajima
AU Age:27 when turned, 30 years a vampire
Physical Differences: Shizuo appears to be mostly the same, save for his eyes are black (like gold-glimmering hematite with his mask) and blood is black. While his hair is naturally a dark ash brown like in the original universe, he maintains its blond appearance through masking. Otherwise the biggest particular difference is that this version is marginally more muscular. Internally, his bones aren't indestructible or dense like steel, and he doesn't have the adrenaline-induced rage issues of his original counterpart. Instead, for a similar but more chill version, he can't feel pain.
AU History: - From the Gold Court lands, with father's side being a generic rich family and mother's side having owned a seafaring trade business with history overseas. Before the Finding, Shizuo was helping out and working as something between an employee and a future heir to the business, often going on the trips to the different ports. This often meant helping with loading and unloading, chilling with employees and occasionally having dealt with a pirate or stowaway, or something else. Everything was usually where he could be monitored, given his... condition.
- Was originally taken in by someone from the Gold Court, and was doing fine enough in most of his classes. However, his condition made him a huge pain in the ass because a lack of pain also meant his Maker didn't know when he was in danger or needed blood for infection or injury reasons. After a season and learning what the Gold Court was all about, Shizuo just asked around to see who would take him. Was picked up and changed to the Black Court, a bit to act as an experiment, but he was a pretty active novice in those classes. However, between novice and early youngblood years, there had definitely been a game called 'how long before he notices.' The answer is that he notices being set on fire pretty quickly because of the smell.
- Remained a frequent visitor to the infirmary, even after graduating, and would often go out on missions and tasks that come up. His favorites are the kind that require investigating, but he's never shied away from any kind that's come up. As such, after his initial time as being a novice, Shizuo only has chunks of references for what happened, or what he's heard about over the years.
AU Personality: Without the adrenaline-induced rage and the fear of being a monster that could hurt anyone, the AU version of Shizuo is far more relaxed. He was the type that used to love to sun bathe as a human, loved to try and be an investigative type, and was a fan of various sports and competitions. All of that's consistent. AU Shizuo is able to indulge more in his social side, even showing to be charming to a few people or absolutely competitive with others. Sure, there's an awkwardness that comes about (consistent with the Original,) but he indulges in teasing people, making more jokes, and taking bets with rather open implications. His jokes... may have developed to a kind of dark humor over the centuries, but there's some personality quirks that can be expected after being a vampire for a few decades. Also, without the kind of original set up, his ability to develop rivalries without realizing it is the same but... somewhat healthier? It's certainly less destructive, and more towards following rules (until you can't.)

Course Information

Court: Black Court, which fits for Shizuo being a guardian type of character, along with an occasionally violent temper. He's more the type to take care of a problem, however that may be done, rather than fill out the paperwork or send someone else to handle the dirty work itself. Mind, he was doing well with a lot of Gold Court classes, but after a season, he realized he's more a Sentinel than a Steward. That was his opinion, which the Black Court maker took advantage of, but there were those back then that could've seen him as doing pretty well in Gold. His passions are more Black aligned, which is what's important to him.
Subjects of Interest: A lot of Shizuo's classes will focus on working with a team, or mock situations to teach students to adapt to constantly changing circumstances. The way he will be doing this is by adapting some sports to fit in danger elements and allow students to work on developing shadowstepping abilities. One of these classes is a more dangerous dodge ball... No one can be surprised, if they knew him.
Maker/Blood Claim:Shizuo's maker is an old NPC fogey who thought it'd be interesting to see how well someone with Shizuo's condition could do in the Nameless Court. Shizuo will also be serving as Luna's new maker, as she's switching from
